Weezys Dry Cleaning
Robin and I left White River at 11:30 after waiting for a chip truck to open. The ride to Marathon was hily, but only 90km.
In Marathon we wento the LCBO and then ate delicious pizza at The Oar House. Beside the restuarant was a building with no sign on the front, so we decided we'd camp behind there. After walking around the building and looking inside, we discovered that it was a laundromat. A piece of paper on the door said it was open 12pm-5pm, and it was 8pm now, but the door was open and one of the dryers was running, so we decided to go inside.
Since we were already in a laundromat, we figured we'd do laundry. We found $2.25 in change in our bags and put some clothes in a washer. However, before we put the money in, we pressed Start and the washer started.
We sat on a wooden table in the back of the building and drank our beers. A woman on a motorcycle came in and collected the clothes from the dryer that had been running around 9pm. We finished our laundry around 10pm. As it was a little cold out and nobody seemed to be in charge of this building, we decided we'd sleep in it. There was no was to turn off the overhead flourescent lights, so we put out sleeping pads/bags under the table and slept there for the night. I don't know if this laundromat is a legimate business or if anyone takes care of it, but it was nice to have a free roof for the night!
