Food Coma

I've been in Toronto since Wednesday night. I'm staying at the College Backpackers Hostel, in Kensington Market, near the corner of College St. @ Spadina Ave.

I had only planned to stay in Toronto for one night, since I was feeling quite good about the terrain and my pedalling, but I have felt absorbed in the city. On Thursday I walked about 15km, visiting the U of T campus, Bloor St., and the Financial District.

On Thursday and Friday I spent both days walking around the city and enjoying the authentic food from various cultures that is available here. Korean, Mexican, Jewish Deli, Chinese, Indian, and Middle Eastern. Each day I've eaten myself into a food coma which resulted in me napping from 3pm-7pm, before going out for more food.

Toronto is a good spot. More people riding bicycles than anywhere else, I've seen. Young women here are sexy as hell. Haute Couture. I've had more people come up and sit next to me at a bar than ever in my life. Both men and women. I've travelled alone for work to San Diego, Palo Alto, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC, and not a single time while sitting at a bar alone has someone engaged me. It's happened every night in Toronto.
